- At the Agritechnica 2019, TTControl officially introduces the newest member of the HY-TTC 500 controller family
- The HY-TTC 508 helps professionals to work more safely, more reliably and to meet the market's increasing requirements
- The HY-TTC 508 controller is the result of a cooperation with agricultural machinery manufacturer PÖTTINGER
- PÖTTINGER will implement the controller in their IMPRESS 185VC PRO round baler from Spring 2020 onwards
Vienna, Austria, November 14, 2019 - Electronics are increasingly becoming a decisive factor in agriculture. To make agricultural machinery more efficient, productive, and safe, TTControl, together with PÖTTINGER, has developed another member of the HY-TTC 500 controller family. The controller was originally jointly designed for a customer-specific solution. Now it broadens TTControl's portfolio of commercial off the shelf products. TTControl presents the cooperative development for the first time at the Agritechnica 2019 in Hanover.
"We developed the HY-TTC 508 especially for the requirements of the agriculture of the future. The combination of PÖTTINGER's know-how and our expertise in the field of functional safety and automation ensures greatest possible robustness as well as operational reliability and safety at work", says Manfred Prammer, Managing Director of TTControl.
"As a manufacturer of agricultural machinery, we know very well what our customers' needs are. We strive to make farmers' work easier and increase agricultural efficiency. We achieve this in cooperation with TTControl thanks to cutting-edge technology that makes our customers fit for future requirements", says Markus Baldinger, Chief Technical Officer at PÖTTINGER.
TTControl makes agricultural machinery even safer and more productive
With the HY-TTC 508, TTControl introduces a controller that satisfies the high demands of agricultural machinery manufacturers. It meets safety standards up to EN ISO25119 Ag PLd, IEC 61508 SIL2 and ISO 13849 PLd. The certification according to EN ISO 25119 Ag PLd satisfies especially the high technical safety requirements of agricultural technology. The HY-TTC 508 controller, and the HY-TTC 590 controller introduced at the bauma 2019 fair, meet the prerequisites for the ISOBUS interface, which is needed for standardized communication between the tractor and its implements. Thus, the implements can, for example, be operated from any ISOBUS Universal Terminal (UT), allowing for maximum flexibility in use. The ISO 25119 Ag PLd certification and the safety manuals supplied by TTControl support the customer with the basic tools that enable him to develop his agricultural machinery in accordance with valid safety standards. Two examples among others are the emergency-stop function and the maximum safe rotational speed.
Flexible application options through a high-performance controller
With the further development of the round baler IMPRESS 185 VCPRO, which incorporates the HY-TTC 508 controller from Spring 2020 onwards, PÖTTINGER has once again expanded its product line. The great flexibility in bale size makes it an ideal choice for constantly changing application requirements of fodder production, for example by contractors and large operations. A high-performance wrapping system wraps the balls with a double wrapping-arm at a speed of 36 RPM. The wrapper's safety shutdown meets the newest legal requirements and offers effective protection in the wrapping range. Thus PÖTTINGER, with the support of the HY-TTC 508-controller, helps professional users to work more safely and reliably to produce best fodder and meet the market's increasing requirements.
The HY-TTC 508 controller will be presented at the Agritechnica 2019 in Hanover as part of an electronic machine architecture at the TTControl booth H21 in hall 17.
